Dear readers,I have just started uni today and it is so different from the lectures in Melbourne.I mean its small,compact and some lectures are conducted in classes which is quite odd.I have met wonderful friends,2 korean friends which i hardly bump into now and an englishman and a german guy,mike and michael.funny blokes but it's really good to see how studious people can be when it comes to education.
so far,orientation week has been crazy.we had like activities almost everyday and it took me a while to get adjusted to the surroundings.it's particularly difficult when people ask me where i'm from.nationality is malaysian but i dont live there anymore so im studying in melbourne at the moment but i live in the middle east.confusing?oh well,when they say oh u came from melbourne,i just nod and say yes yes and explain the whole process again.anyway,its been crazy coz the campus is huge and i get lost all the time.we use buses to get around but now,i realise i need a bike but its too expensive to buy one coz all the cheaps one are sold out.so its best to walk.burn more fat that way.haha
classes has just started and ive already got a test 2 weeks from now eventhough i havent got any study materials yet.insane!i need to get used to the assignment/homework every week so i'll be stuck in my room once again.haha.books here are relatively expensive so i found a website where we can buy cheap secondhand books!wonderful!spent so much on things just for my room.like a kettle,a table lamp(how can they not have the most important thing for studying!!),a fan,a laundry bag,stuff to put my books and junk in,etc.and you know what is so amazing???WE GET SO MANY FREE STUFF DURING ORIENTATION WEEK!!!so far,ive got 3 new shirts and a jumper for free!!!can u believe it???in melb,we had to pay blardy 45 bucks for a jumper!and yeah so im reali surprised we get so many free stuff here.i got a free frisbee and pizza cutter too!haha...unbelievable...wow,im just so amazed!
anyway,im going to look for some things to do like read up on something.ttyl will update soon :)

wow,life seems so unreal shifting from one place to the next and adapting to different cultures.something new.not entirely but new.
San francisco was freaking amazing!I have seen so many places which I haven't seen before and travelled around to understand the different cultures and how people interact.It is so different to Aussie culture in a way.It's nice to learn new things.
Champaign is a small town but it's such a nice,quiet and peaceful town.Food here IS AMAZINGLY CHEAP compared to melbourne.You can get A HUGE MASSIVE bowl of fried rice for 6 bucks!i didnt know the portions here were so big.Now i know why obesity is common here.zzzz haha
Anyway,time to go and get some things done.I have so much to write but I dont have time to do all this.ttyl..laterz
